The Silver Appeal from silver4fundraising is the UK's leading consumer silver recycling campaign and aims to help thousands of schools, groups and charities raise over £1 million in cash by recycling unwanted silver jewellery that is currently lying in drawers and jewellery boxes never to be worn again.

We are not asking people to donate heavy silver items, but instead everyday silver jewellery that is now past its best, broken and tarnished and unwanted. These everyday silver jewellery items will be worth very little individually, but collected together will be valuable to your fundraising campaign.

Your Silver Appeal can raise hundreds of pounds

£100 is the minimum amount that you can raise by collecting one Kilogram of silver - that's the same weight as a bag of sugar. Most Silver Appeal campaigns can successfully collect several kilograms of silver - there are no limits.

We will give a cash donation to your cause for every single gram of silver that you collect in your campaign.

Silver is 100% recyclable, so we can accept silver in any condition, and any quantity, big or small.

When you consider that a broken silver necklace can weigh 6.5 grams( the same weight as a 10p coin), and a broken ring 4 grams and that most people have several broken,unwanted silver items that they will be willing to donate to your Silver Appeal, your collection will soon add up.
